Most students at ATCC complete their RBT® Competency Assessment in less than 2-weeks. Typically, ATCC students start their RBT® Competency Assessment during their first few sessions with their contracted CARE Academy client (I-CARE.org), and finish it with a 2-hour online meeting with their dedicated BCBA®.

At ATCC, all RBT® Competency Assessments are administered online by a BCBA® currently supervising clients with the CARE Academy (I-CARE.org).  All ATCC students are required to enter a contractual agreement with the CARE Academy to provide volunteer online Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) services. Upon entering into this contractual relationship with the CARE Academy, you may begin providing volunteer online ABA services to clients of the CARE Academy (I-CARE.org). All volunteer ABA services provided to CARE Academy clients are supervised by a CARE Academy supervising BCBA®. *Important The BACB® requires that the BCBA® supervisor, "responsible assessor, assistant assessor(s), and RBT applicant must be employed at (or all have a contractual relationship with) the same organization. That organization must also be the entity providing services to the client involved in the assessment. This relationship requirement applies to the entire assessment and not just the portions involving clients. Yes! ATCC students can schedule ABA services with their CARE Academy clients and the RBT® Competency Assessment meeting with their dedicated BCBA on a weekend. CARE Academy offers ABA services to clients, all over the world, 7 days a week. ATCC offers assessment appointments on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as early morning and late evening appointments on weekdays. You have the flexibility to choose the dates and times that works best for you.

Students enrolled in the ATCC Full RBT Certification Program are guaranteed to be offered to take the RBT® Competency Assessment as many times as needed, for free. No additional fees are required.  If an RBT candidate fails to demonstrate competency in one or more of the tasks, the student will receive a “not passed” qualification on just those competencies and another, shorter-meeting will be scheduled to repeat just those competencies at no cost. ATCC students are not required to retake the entire RBT® Competency Assessment, only those few competencies that were not passed the first time. The assessor will provide performance feedback at the end of the assessment session and the applicant will be allowed to test again the following day; this process may be repeated until all competencies are demonstrated. (NO retake fees apply).

Yes, your dedicated BCBA® will provide the necessary signature & background check approval required by the BACB on the RBT application in the BACB Gateway.

Yes, once your RBT® Competency Assessment is completed, your dedicated BCBA® will assist you in completing your RBT® application on the BACB Gateway, spending as much time is necessary to ensure it is done correctly. This results in ATCC students having a 100% application approval rate with their RBT® applications on the BACB® Gateway.
